SKINLAB Confirmed For Oakland TATTOO THE EARTH Event

San Francisco Bay Area's SKINLAB will perform Saturday, August 10th as part of the Tattoo The Earth weekend at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California. The event, sponsored by The Oakland Museum Of California will be hosted by acclaimed tattoo artist and festival brainchild, Paul Booth. The focus of this year's event will be more about the art, culture and history of tattoos and tattooing than the musical focus of Tattoo The Earth festivals of the past.

SKINLAB are no strangers to the world of ink and body modification. While all members of the band have plenty of ink and piercings of their own, guitarist Snake has built a reputation as a tattoo artist having inked members of PANTERA, FLAW, KITTIE, SUPERJOINT RITUAL and MACHINE HEAD as well as his fellow band members, not to mention many SKINLAB fans inked during various tours. Says Snake of the opportunity to play the esteemed show, "It's perfect for a band like SKINLAB. Everyone in the band are about the tattooing lifestyle. Tattooing and metal. You couldn't ask for a better job. We cannot wait to be a part of it."
